Ender's Game

My favourite thing about Ender's Game was that it was honest. A lot of movies catered towards a younger demographic often tone down violence and themes to make a movie reach a broader audience. It's the Hollywood effect. However, I was pleasantly surprised by Ender's Game. The story from the get-go is very honest and gratifying, I found myself feeling immersed in the...

Elysium

Elysium

For me to enjoy a movie it needs just a few simple ingredients, a decent story, good acting and consistency. Elysium had all that and more. With Elysium movie critics have been split down the middle, some loved it and some hated it. I urge you not to ever listen to critics, more often than not they're wrong. Even me. Because ultimately all that matters is your exper...

R.I.P.D.

R.I.P.D.

Am I the only one who actually liked R.I.P.D.? It seems to be it's been getting slammed in the media - the consensus is that the critics hate it. I think I must have missed the bandwagon though. In all honesty I really enjoyed R.I.P.D.R.I.P.D. is about a cop who gets murdered, when he dies he gets the choice to work for the 'Rest In Peace Department', they're a tea...

Red 2

Red 2

The moral of the story is you can get old and wrinky but you can still be a bad ass motherfucker; which everyone in Red 2 is.It's worth your moneyI was pleasantly surprised with Red 2, there was action at every angle but even more than that it was actually really funny, Red 2 has plenty of quirky one liners to keep you laughing all the way through. ...

The Conjuring

There are two things you have to know about themoviejudge, I like syrup on my pancakes and I don't scare easy. Well, The Conjuring scared me.What sets this movie apart from most demonic possession movies?I'll be honest, the premise of the movie sounds about as clich├ęd as you can get, however they deal with these themes very well. Most movies of this genr...

Grown Ups 2

Grown Ups 2

Other than Taylor Lautner doing an abundance of backflips and roundhouse kicks for the fun of it and being a straight up ninja, not a bad Adam Sandler movie. The one thing I enjoyed about this movie is there are quite lot of 'LOL' moments right from the beginning, partaking to the witty banter and one liners from the usual suspects (Rock, Sandler, Spade and James).

The Wolverine

The Wolverine sits in my stomach, like a bad curry. In a lot of ways I hate this piece of crap and in others I kind of liked it.You have Logan, Aka 'The Wolverine', he has claws made of Adamantium - the word on the street is that's some pretty good shit. Well on top of that he has this super regeneration ability to help him heal wounds ridiculously fast, sounds lik...

The Lone Ranger

The Lone Ranger

The Lone Ranger is a movie that never could hold up, especially if it's made by Disney. Sure, Disney produce some good movies however this isn't one of them. I don't really know where this movie failed, other than knowing it did. I don't think it was down to the performances, I thought Depp did a great job as Tonto - a charismatic Native American andArmie Hammer did ok as...

Man of Steel

Man of Steel

There was a lot of hype that surrounded Man of Steel - with it being helmed by Snyder, written by Goyer and Nolan and scored by the great Hans Zimmer, It seemed only destined to succeed and that it did, for me. Man of Steel is a movie with great consequence and sacrifice, one which takes a superhero movie, strips it down and asks you the question. What would it mean...

Iron Man 3

****Small Spoilers ahead folks****I'm not one to purposely dislike a movie, infact going into Iron Man 3 all I wanted to do was like it. I saw the trailers and was blown away, I thought, wow you know what, after the disaster of the second movie they've finally nailed it. Well I was wrong. Completely wrong. I've never been more wrong about anything in my entire life,...
