Four Weddings is one of those movies that is just really well written, which is of no surprise considering it's Richard Curtis who penned the movie. A loveable charming dimwitted Hugh Grant plays the role of Charles, a chap who thinks he's found his "Miss Right". The story revolves around him and his friends and the four weddings and one funeral that they all attend.
Look who's back....again, Hugh Fucking Grant. He really monopolised the Chick flick genre in the 90's didn't he? Notthing Hill is one of them boy meets girl type movies, except the girl is a mega rich Hollywood A list actress (like that happens a lot). She just so happens to walk into the Williams (Hugh Grant) bookstore. Granty gets all the luck.
He's back again, third time the charm. Hugh Grant! Thankfully this time he's not the main protagonist of the tale (however he is in it a fair bit). The story revolves around eight couples dealing with their love in various different ways during the month before Christmas in England. Love Actually is truly a beautiful movie, it's one of my favourites.
Finally, a chick flick without Hugh Grant in it, thank you god.
A poor man falls in love with a rich girl during the summer months, after a passionate summer of love and romance they are soon separated by their social differences. Time passes, they both begin to wonder what their lives would have been like if they had stayed together. Now Allie (Rachel McAdams) is set to wed, she returns back to her childhood town, hoping to see Noah for a final goodbye.
A wonderfully acted movie staring Zooey Deschanel and Joseph Gordon-Levitt. An offbeat romantic comedy about a woman who doesn't believe true love exists, and a young man who does. Will Tom be able to snag the girl of his dreams and persuade her that true love really does exist? The fuck if I know. Just watch the shitting movie.
